This Cold Desire
In addition to her work in Blame Sally, Monica Pasqual has had a prolific career making, performing and recording music since the mid-90’s. With a background in classical piano and her current side-career composing music for film soundtracks, Pasqual’s recent solo material has focused on haunting, yearning song-poems that explore her sense of place, love, loss, war and dreams. Co-produced with long-time collaborator, guitarist BZ Lewis, “This Cold Desire” illustrates the best of what these two versatile musicians have to offer: compelling arrangements that transcend easy genre definitions, rich with atmospheric guitars, hypnotic rhythms, and Pasqual’s signature vocals and piano.
